Today, I’ll review It’s a Grind Coffee House which is located at 2000 Boulderstone Way in Cary, NC. I have lived in North Carolina for nearly two years, and my visit today was only my second since moving here. It’s not because I don’t like the coffee, but because I either make coffee at home or visit Dunkin’ Donuts. Though Dunkin’ Donuts is TERRIBLE down here in North Carolina, I’m from New Hampshire, and that’s just how it is. I grew up on their coffee, and even worked at a variety of Dunkin’ Donuts growing up.
This Mechanic Is CRAZY!
While I applaud the creativity, you will NEVER find me working on a truck being held up by two rocks, a small piece of wood, and a $10 jack! It is difficult to tell from the photo, but only three of the jack’s wheels are even touching. Talk about a very creative and completely foolish solution to auto repair!
Tubing Down The Neuse River 7/14
Last Saturday, I went tubing down the Neuse River with a large group of folks. I had not been tubing for many years. In fact, the last time I recall tubing was as a child with my mom down the river at a campground. We used old school “black rubber” tubes that we rented from the campground. It was five bucks to keep those tubes for 24 hours, which I thought was a pretty fair deal at the time.
Anyway, We met at place called O’Malley’s Pub & Restaurant for breakfast before heading over to the river. Continue reading
Asuka Japanese Restaurant – Morrisville, NC Review
Today, I’m going to review Asuka, a Japanese restaurant located at 101 Keybridge Dr #100 in Morrisville, NC. Driving by, Asuka is difficult to miss. Their prominent sign is easy to spot, as is the intriguing and well decorated red and yello Continue reading
Huske Hardware House Sledgehammer Stout Review
I had this beer at the Red Monkey Tavern in the Crabtree Valley Mall. What a delicious brew! Has anyone else tried it? Sledgehammer Stout is brewed by Huske Hardware House Brewing Company in Fayetteville, NC. I love supporting local breweries, especially when they produce a brew as delicious as this! This beer’s delicious smokey mocha flavor left me agreeing to another pint. It is such a deliciously smooth brew, almost like sipping a glass full of melted coffee ice cream. Talk about AMAZING!
CONCLUSION: If you love a good stout, you MUST
try this beer!
Brooklyn Boys Pizzeria – Cary, NC Review
Today, I’m going to review Brooklyn Boys Pizzeria, which is located at 1260 Northwest Maynard Road in Cary, NC. I purchased a LivingSocial deal to Brooklyn Boys Pizzeria several months ago. I was reviewing my deals and noticed it was expiring soon. Being as I am frugal and did not want to lose the promotional value, I used it later that week on the date it was said to expire. Talk about a close call!
Tucked into a small shopping plaza, Brooklyn Boys Pizzeria is a fairly small operation. Upon entering the restaurant, Continue reading
PLEASE HELP! 48 Hour Fundraising Drive to Benefit the National MS Society
This Saturday, I will be participating in an event called MuckRuckus. Taking place at the Schneider Electric Facility in Knightdale, NC, the 2012 MuckRuckus MS Carolinas is sure to be a blast. Though it will be fun, the true reason braving the FIVE mile, THIRTY-FOUR obstacle is to raise money for the National MS Society. Continue reading
Tom Yum Thai – Cary, NC Review
A few nights ago, I found myself craving some Thai food. I have visited a number of Thai restaurants in the area, including Thai’s Noodle in Morrisville, Thai Cafe in Durham, and the two Sawasdee Thai restaurants in Raleigh. Tonight, a quick perusal of Groupon NOW lead me to try Tom Yum Thai in Cary. Continue reading
The 2012 Coca-Cola 600
Just four days before the Coca-Cola 600, I was lucky enough to score a pair of free tickets. A few of my bowling teammates got free tickets from a friend but were unable to go. They asked me if I wanted them, and I said heck yes! With the short notice, I could not find anyone to go with. I did make a few attempts to give away the remaining ticket, but I could not find anyone who wanted it. Continue reading
Shopping for a Better Auto Insurance Rate
I got a quote postcard from GEICO for $118 per month, which is about $39 per month less than I am currently paying. Since I am up for renewal in March, I decided to give GEICO a call and see what rate they could offer over the phone. To my surprise, Continue reading
